Matthew 20:34 And Jesus moved with compassion, touched their eyes, and immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed Him.
Did you read that? Jesus had compassion on them, then He touched their eyes, and their eyes received sight, then they followed Him.
What an amazing story, yet true.
How did they get what they were seeking for? What did they do? The Bibles says; when they heard that Jesus was coming by, they cried out to Him. And when the people told them to shut up, they cried out that much more. By their persistence, what did Jesus do? He stopped and summoned them to Him. Then He asked them what they wanted. They asked Him that they may receive their sight.
I wonder if we did that, God will give us what we are seeking for? You know; call out to Jesus, and seek Jesus with all our hearts. And when the crowd and circumstances say shut up, call out to Him that much more. I wonder if He will stop and take notice.
I am sure if He is willing to help a poor Samaritan adulteress, He may just take notice of poor wretch as myself. How about the man that was covered with leprosy, He touched him and healed him. Do you think just maybe if we cry out to Him, like the Phoenician woman did and would not give up, that like she received the deliverance for her daughter, that Jesus will do the same for us?
Hmmmm, I think I will try that, nothing else seems to work.
